Xerxes isn’t your ordinary beetle- oh no! He’s a jewel beetle, and stained glass jewel beetles require some pretty special glass. His head is made with dichroic glass that shifts from red to orange, depending on his angle. And his body is made with sparkly green adventurine glass, and a beautiful glass that shimmers like gold in some light, or a deep black in other light. Oh, and lets not forget that he’s on a background of clear, iridescent glue chip glass- they don’t make that anymore! He’s definitely a handsome guy that would love to hang in your house.
